Unknown Runner film seek more funds, launch improved iOS app

The Unknown Runner is a popular and inspiring app for runners and documentary enthusiasts, and it invites users to get involved by helping to fund a very special project: the making of an independent documentary on Kenyan runners.

The hero of The Unknown Runner is Geoffrey Kipsang, a talented young Kenyan athlete.

The app has just released a new version and is now also available on iPhone/iPad. Both the film and the app are produced by Amsterdam-based production company A Cow Says Moo.

At the start of the project, Kipsang was working towards his entry onto the world stage as a marathon runner. He has now made is debut at the Berlin Marathon – where he took third place.

The film project is now looking for a final round of funding to finish the post-production and The Unknown Runner needs your help.

Through the app, running enthusiasts can follow the creation of the documentary step by step, see what’s been filmed and gain an insight into the world behind the Kenyan athletes.

The documentary makers are encouraging all users to be a part of the project by donating or buying a special T-shirt to support the documentary.
