23rd IAAF World Half Marathon Championships - Valencia 2018

The 2018 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships will take place in València, Spain on Saturday 24 March 2018.

The female elite start race, made up of the athletes selected by their respective countries, will be at 5.05 pm. These women will compete in the World Championship without interference of male athletes, as it is usual in these events.

Exactly 25 minutes later, at 5.30 pm, the men elite race will also start. 

This will be the 23rd time the event is contested and the second time the event will be held in Spain.

The first was the 5th edition in 1996 in Palma, Mallorca. The event drew only 200 athletes. The 2018 World Half Marathon Championships in València will eclipse this figure without a doubt.
