The 2nd African Youth Games takes place in Gaborone, Botswana from May 22-31, 2014 when an estimated 54 African countries and 2,500 young athletes will compete in 21 sporting codes over 10 days.

The 2nd African Youth Games (AYG) takes place in Gaborone, Botswana from May 22-31, 2014 when an estimated 54 African countries and 2,500 young athletes will compete in 21 sporting codes over 10 days.

This exciting sporting event is for Athletes between the ages of 14 and 18 years, to prepare and/or qualify for the 2014 Youth Olympics Games in Nanjing, China.

Taking the baton from Morocco, Botswana is proud host of the 2014 African Youth Games, dubbed Gaborone 2014.With Gaborone 2014, Botswana will claim her place on the map as a destination of choice for sport, culture, education, youth development, business and leisure among others.
