Côte d'Ivoire's Murielle Ahoure upsets the favourites Carmelita Jeter (USA) and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica) to win the women's 60 metres with an All-Comers record and personal best 6.99 seconds while Genzebe Dibaba narrowly miss out on 1500m World record today at the British Athletics Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham.

Genzebe Dibaba sets an Ethiopian record 3:57.77 in the women's 1500m, her compatriot Hagos Gebrhiwet wins men's 5000m in a world leading 13:11.00, whilst Kenyans Milcah Chemos (3000m S/C women, 9:15.81) and Leonard Kosencha (800m men,1:46.05) took comfortable wins on a rainy evening at the Samsung Diamond League meeting in Shanghai, China on Saturday.

Kenyan Thomas Longosiwa produced a stunning last lap sprint to set a world leading 12:58.67; Compatriot Nixon Chepseba produced a 3:35.53 world lead and Ignisious Gaisah scored one over Khotso Mokoena to highlight top African performances at the 7th PSD Bank Meeting in Düsseldorf on Friday night.
