IAAF World Relays – Bahamas 2014

The first edition of the IAAF World Relays will be held on May 24-25, 2014 at the 15,000 capacity Thomas A. Robinson Stadium in Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas.

The inaugural edition of the IAAF World Relays will be held on May 24-25, 2014 at the 15,000 capacity Thomas A. Robinson Stadium in Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas.

The 1st IAAF World Relays will bring together more than 700 athletes and 300 team officials from 40 countries in the world.

It is expected that most of the sprint and middle distance medalists from the London 2012 Olympic Games and the 2013 IAAF World Championships will be present.

The IAAF World Relays, which will be held in Nassau for two consecutive years, is the biggest sporting event to be held in The Bahamas. The event is under the aegis of the [link id=”175″ tax=”post_tag” text=”International Association of Athletics Federation ( IAAF).”]

The following relay races will be held: 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m, 4 x 400m, 4 x 800m and 4 x 1,500m with qualifying rounds for the 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m and 4 x 400m (male and female).

The 2014 [link id=”332″ tax=”post_tag” text=”IAAF World Relays”] will also serve as a qualifying competition for the 2015 IAAF World Championships.
